Saturday May 21st 2011 — a no brainer, with quite the brain
The funnel is full, and there is more potential than ever. We’ve been talking on the phone, and I am ready to meet the bachelors.
Bachelor #1 is a good-looking Pakistani man. His communication style is direct and he is generous with compliments. He is not much of a phone person… so we were quick to set up a date. The original plan was to have a “sushi” dinner at Sunda (one of my favorite Chicago restaurants), but then I got last-minute tickets to a playoff Bulls game with clients so I invited him to come along.
It could have been disastrous… he and I had never met. I decided to meet him a little early just a few blocks from the United Center @ West End… so we can get the initial “check out” over with, and not have an audience.
All was good… he was really casual, and made it easy to feel comfortable with him. Off to the game to meet Erica and Mike… she is technically my client, but I consider her a friend as well.
Bulls win! Game was a blast! He was awesome. I felt attracted to him… mentally. He knew a thousand random statistics about basketball, and whatever else we were talking about. He didn’t flaunt that he is obviously smart… just casually dropped stats. I am so turned on when I feel like a man can teach me something!
We took a cycle rickshaw from the Bulls game to Sushi Samba for a post game dinner. He was determined to take me on the “sushi date” he promised. By the time we were eating… I realized I felt like I have been out with Stat Man many times before. We have a really comfortable rapport, and I find him fascinating. The only thing I am not 100% positive about is the attraction level.
Stat Man is definitely getting a second date….
